>> FIVE SLIDES AND THREE MINS TO PRESENTOBJECTIVE: To have a memorable presentation in three minutes and showing only five non-animated slides. The challenge was to stand out knowing that 30 other hotels from the same region were presenting one after the other to the same audience that night.
STRATEGY PROPOSED: Break the pattern. Move away from what the audience was expecting. Give them a story to remember. Instead of showing the classic pictures of the hotel, the rooms, the restaurants and the beach (everybody was doing that) we proposed to take one of the main achievement of the hotel to tell a real and personal story of a couple that stayed in the resort for more than 365 nights. The key was the carefully crafted script, telling the story of George & Dee and what made them came back again and again. The opening slide was crucial to get the attention of the audience "George & Dee came to the Bali Dynasty Resort by ACCIDENT". The rest, simple slides not to distract the audience from the story telling. RESULT: The audience moved on their chairs to listen to the story and enjoy the change of pace of the night. People were talking about it later during the night and sent text messages to the GM of the hotel to congratulate him. |

>> FROM A LONG LINEAR PPT TO AN INTERACTIVE FLEXIBLE ONEOBJECTIVE: Revitalise their sales presentation to travel agents and tour operators.
STRATEGY PROPOSED: Previously they had a linear PPT with basically pictures in full screen of all facilities and services of the hotel. They had to show them all always. Now they have a fully interactive presentation that runs from a menu made out of the map layout of the hotel. By clicking on each section of the map you can choose in which direction or how deep to go in each of the sections. This allowed them to use the PPT for any audience and choose the path according to the audience's needs. RESULT: Client happy! Ordered new PPTs for the group and the rest of the hotels of the group. Click through the main slides on the right. |
